(I) ENERGY SAVING (II) BIODEGRADABILITY (III) ECO FRIENDLY (IV) ECONOMY OF OPERATION (V) ERGONOMY
I. ENERGY SAVING:
Our product is built to be energy saving at EVERY STEP AND STAGE during the entire manufacturing.
1. Compressor :
(a) The type of compressor used is not the conventional one but with energy saving version by at least 20 to 25% compared to the conventional ones used in the industry.
(b) The compressor is with the ability to adjust automatically the cooling capacity based on the load and cooling needed, and saving 20 to 35% of the energy, based on the type, temperature and the cooling capacity involved.
(c) The refrigerants used with the compressors result in saving of 20% of the energy for the same cooling capacity involved compared to the conventional compressor and refrigerants used.
(d) The compressor employed offers much higher energy efficiency in applications involving 24/7 operation as with low temperature and ultra low temperature freezers etc.
2. Condenser:
(a) The condenser used is not the conventional tube and fins type, but offers 15% to 20% better cooling efficiency compared to the conventional one employed by almost all the manufacturers in the industry.
(b) The modification further envisaged and employed by us in
(c) condenser section improves the cooling efficiency by another 10% over and above the one mentioned above.
(d) The special type energy saving special class of fans employed improve the saving by 15% over the routine ones. The additional speed control used in the fans for the cooling purpose of the condenser and belonging to energy saving category further decreases the power consumption by 8 to 12 %.
3. Evaporator :
(a) The evaporator is strategically located and designed to provide the best temperature gradient front to back, and top to bottom in the industry with huge energy saving of 20 to 25% for the same set chamber temperature and volume of freezers, even at higher ambient temperatures compared to the conventional design.
(b) Evaporator positioning without involving multiple material type
(c) Evaporator IN DIRECT CONTACT WITH PRODUCT SHELF, with high conduction at every step improves the cooling efficiency even further with minimum energy used.
4. Heat exchanger:
Unique and the latest and vastly improved heat exchanger in the second stage of the unit by the very design and efficiency, results in reducing the energy need by over 12% compared to the routine heat exchangers.
5. Refrigerants:
We have chosen the refrigerants which are with the lowest GWP amongst the available refrigerants and also extremely energy efficient and environmentally friendly.
(a) The refrigerant is with excellent thermo dynamic properties leading to higher energy efficiency compared to R404 used conventionally.
(b) The heat absorbing capacity with the refrigerant used is 90% higher than the conventional R404A, used by every other manufacturer resulting in much quicker temperature attainment and recovery and all these with lower energy consumption.
(c) The refrigerant with its inherent high thermal conductivity reduces the power and thereby reduces the energy needed by 40 to 50%.
(d) The second stage refrigerant is again of a unique combination and saving energy by 10 to 15% compared to the conventional R508B used.
6. Fan :
We have attempted to use fans at every assembly involved with energy saving features and wherever relevant with automatic speed adjustment.
(a) The fan in the condenser section is with special attributes and one of its kind in the market, offering the highest level of energy saving in its category.
(b) The combination of size and airflow offers the quickest and the most efficient cooling of the condenser section in its type.
(c) The system employs well thought out design and selection of the condenser fans to cover the entire assembly and cross section for the most efficient usage of the fan, and farther enhanced with the variable speed capability and design of the fan blades and so on.
(d) The type of the fan employed is with energy saving with ability additionally for monitoring and alerting for condenser contamination with efficient cooling, and super quiet.
7. Insulation:
Wheecon have attempted to employ insulation components which are natural products, biodegradable and still with the best attributes as typical insulation media, and multilayered for higher efficiency.
(a) The type of the material is very effective rendering in terms of low energy consumption and saving about 10% on an average.
(b) The conventional PUF, with the density of 32kg /m3 on an average used, involves isothiocyanate, a substance with great health hazard with a thermal conductivity of the order of 0.022 w/mk as against 0.013 to 0.020 w/mk with one of the materials we employ and as a combination and layered with two more types providing even better insulation with lower thermal conductivity and energy consumption.
(c) The chamber itself is constructed out of a very special material and for the first time in the entire industry, boasting a thermal conductivity which is about 40 TIMES LOWER compared to chambers with stainless steel interior , and about 125 TIMES LOWER compared to mild steel exterior used and thereby ensuring a minimum thermal exchange and saving significant energy during the life cycle of the machine.
(d) The overall heat transfer from an ambient of +25 or 30ºC to the chamber temperature of say -75 ºC in an ultra low temperature is very significant which with THE UNIQUE chamber material chosen saving energy from the start.
(e) The main door with the special triple insulation layer and farther improved with special step door gasket further aids in energy saving.
(f) The ambient temperature is measured, and based on the differential between the set temperature in the chamber, and using a special algorithm, the compressor on time is minimised and off time maximised to save energy and also improve the life of the compressor.
II. BIODEGRADABILITY:
The system employs wherever practical and relevant, only biodegradable material at every step and probably the highest such attempt in the industry with the product line.
(a) The complete chamber is of biodegradable material for the first time in the industry.
(b) The insulation material is of natural origin and are biodegradable in the entire system wherever used.
(c) The refrigerant is with the least harm to the atmosphere when released and easy to handle with higher level of biodegradability.
III. ECO FRIENDLY:
The approach towards ensuring being ECO friendly is taken up with all seriousness and every material is carefully chosen to reflect this .
(a) The refrigerant used is pure and very ECO friendly and in fact one of the best preferred for this purpose.
(b) The insulation material in addition to being biodegradable is ECO friendly and also very natural ones without damaging environment ensuring while in use, and or while disposing off.
(c) Compressor chosen offers highly improved air quality , free from oil contamination, very low noise level, reduced carbon foot print, and with variable speed , it is also with low noise and low vibration - ECO friendly at every step
(d) We use fans which are classified under ECO friendly and energy saving category and with variable speed and offering noise reduction and high efficiency .
(e) The system uniquely and virtually does away with brazing and soldering which can involve as high as 55 to 60 points in a typical -80℃ freezer (!). No need for lead, no oxy acetylene flame etc. or associated accessories during manufacturing or in the event of leakage!
IV. ECONOMY OF OPERATION:
It is very critical to optimise the operational cost to ensure quick return on the investment and also avoid wastage wherever appropriate.
(a) Compressor with the refrigerant used operates at a lower temperature extending compressor life and while lowering overall cost of the ownership.
(b) The refrigerant is non toxic and environmentally friendly and need not be recaptured or recycled during the servicing – all these improving significant operational cost.
(c) System operating with the refrigerants used involves saving in electrical energy accounting for 40 to 50% over the legacy systems using the conventional HFC refrigerants.
(d) The refrigerants chosen used are much less expensive alternative with 40% lower need of refrigerant quantity charged compared to R404A in stage one or R508B employed in the second stage of the typical ultra low temperature cabinets , and that is a significant saving .
(e) The compressor endowed with variable speed capability is quite different from the conventional piston type with fixed speed, and is very energy efficient and power saving which are significant during the life cycle of the freezer.
V. ERGONOMY:
Extra care and caution have been exercised to operate and maintain the system with highest level of convenience.
(a) Strip handle running through the entire front door left , renders opening and closing equally easy, irrespective of the height of the operators involved
(b) The overall dimension - height, breadth and depth have all been well thought out doing away with the need to have small steps /ladder to access the top shelf or inability to reach samples at the rear end of the chamber, a bane with most machines, and totally eliminated.
(c) Lock with proven track record and unique in its category and is a standing proof that form follows the function , and not handles with disproportionate size and or strutting out of the machine and or door.
(d) Many critical advancements have been integrated with feedback mechanism to measure , monitor , check with reference , and adjust and always ensure optimal performance be it (i) compressor with the variable speed (ii) condenser fan with variable speed (iii) electronic expansion valve with control (iv) unique heat exchanger (v) pressure and heat sensors to take critical adjustments at various steps - PERFECTLY HUMAN ENGINEERED.
(e) “TemPTrak”, Electronic event tracker and paperless recorder for temperature control , monitoring and storage device for recall of events for measuring, monitoring and tracking the entire process of storage while capturing all alarm conditions for review and timely intervention as required and with complete audit trail, one of its kind in the industry for the purpose. Above all it is without the need for routine replacement of paper and pen, and environmentally friendly doing away with these consumables !!
