1. Unique refrigeration mechanism, without involving manual or auto defrost, which increases chamber temperature even beyond alarm temperature during such cycles.
2. Main door, tempered transparent triple layer air/ inert gas filled with special insulation type glass and acrylic sub door for visibility and minimum temperature exchange.
3. Additional transparent sub doors, to minimise temperature variation.
4. Temperature probe immersed in a reference fluid to mimic storage material, to provide better temperature control.
5. Forced air circulation with three fans instead of two, to ensure uniform temperature distribution, in the event of a fan failure.
6. Fans are switched off when door is open, to minimise temperature exchange and light on, for visibility.
7. Storage and retrieval of bags with shuttle rack arrangement for easy access to blood bags at the end, with stopper for protection.
8. Controller, totally in-house developed, battery backed for at least 48 hours with extensive safety features and operator alerts for reliable operation.
