Merits of totally automated ESR systems

1.   The system performs ESR according to Westergren method, and conforming to ICSH reference method.

2.   System can take EDTA blood samples, which means the CBC samples from same collection tubes can be used and with that eliminating the use of costly citrated blood collection tubes.

3.    System accepts open or closed tube samples,  offering great convenience, and there is no need to pour of, or transfer samples from one type of tube to another.

4.    Virtually no disposable cost are involved resulting in very low sample cost /running cost. This means, the system offers one of the lowest running cost for ESR’s, in the industry !

5.     Accurate and automatic dilution with citrate solution is done on board, that is, mixing four plus one dilutions every time precisely, thereby eliminating a major source of error.

6.    Consistent ESR results, thanks to automatic temperature correction to 18.3ºc.

7.    The system is with open and with continuous access, with no need for batching of samples and the bottlenecks, resulting in quick turn-around time.

8.    Positive sample identification, with built-in barcode reader, as sample is being aspirated, and no need for work list entry and associated error.

9.   Choice of half an hour or one hour mode, for faster turn-around and throughput, if needed.

10. On line results can be interfaced and data transferred to the laboratory computer so that, the results
are immediately available as either inhalf an hour, or one hour mode !
